As a Jones Lecturer at Stanford he taught creative writing courses in fiction, creative nonfiction, and screenwriting. At Cornell he taught multi-genre introductory workshops, English classes focused on short stories and mystery narratives, and first-year writing seminars.
He has also taught for Ellipsis Writing, Stanford Continuing Studies, and in summer programs for the Knight Institute at Cornell and the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Chris is currently a member of the faculty at the University of Idaho, where he teaches a variety of writing courses in the English Department and MFA program.
