Chris Drangle is a writer from Arkansas. Before earning an MFA in fiction at Cornell University, he worked as a car washer, a radio DJ, a legal assistant, a copywriter, and the guy who drives the caged golf cart at the driving range.

His work has appeared in numerous magazines, and has been recognized with a Wallace Stegner Fellowship, a Bread Loaf Scholarship, a Jentel Arts Residency, a Pushcart Prize, and a 2022 Prose Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. 

Chris has taught English and creative writing for more than ten years. He has worked with students in high school, college, graduate school, and continuing education programs, teaching both in the classroom and through online platforms.


He is a member of the permanent teaching faculty in the Department of English and MFA program at the University of Idaho, and lives in Moscow with his partner.
