Happy Jason Voorhees Day

September 13, 2013

I can’t really say why I like Jason Voorhees. He’s not psychologically interesting, he’s not narratively interesting (even in the first movie, when he’s basically–spoiler from 1980–a boogeyman invented by his mom). The concept isn’t particularly inspired: “What if, like, the Terminator was a zombie dressed like Eddie Vedder?” And I’m not into cinematic murder like I used to be, though that’s a subject for another post.

Whatever the reason, Jason retains some type of charisma I can appreciate without understanding, so in celebration of his special day, above isĀ an infographic The National Post did a few years ago. It commemorates Jason’s bodies of work. More spears than you might think.
